Monique
Monique Nashed is an experienced communications, stakeholder engagement, and program management professional with over 20 years of experience. Driven by her commitment to empowering others, she takes pride in building strong partnerships to achieve organizational outcomes.
She has built these skills across various industries, including non-profit, consulting, retail, IT, and healthcare. Monique graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and a minor in International Relations. In addition to her primary job functions, Monique believes in reinvesting in the community, and has done so through volunteering for the Coptic Educational Foundation and serving the high school youth in the various cities where she has lived.
Monique currently lives in Northern California with her husband and two daughters where they enjoy participating in sports, spending time with loved ones, and trying out new restaurants.
Amany
Amany is an Administrative Assistant, with a Bachelor’s degree in languages and a Diploma in Translation and Interpretation, who worked in different industries mainly international law, telecommunications, banking, manufacturing consumer products, construction and education. She has been serving on board of several non-profit organizations of which is The St. Shenouda the Archimandrite Coptic Society and volunteered with PTA, PTSA and San Gabriel Education Foundation.
Amany strongly believes that good education is the path to glorious success and that all students should have an equal opportunity for higher education regardless of their background, ethnicity, race or color. Hence, her work with the Coptic Educational Foundation (CEF) is not just a job but a passion.
Sandy
Sandy is the Assistant Director and Counselor for the Coptic Educational Foundation (CEF). Sandy is a first-generation Coptic Egyptian American who pursued her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minor in Human Services from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) and earned her Master's in Educational Counseling at University of Southern California (USC).
Sandy currently serves as the Senior Academic Advisor for the Graduate School of Psychology and Education at Pepperdine University. She also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member for the Graduate program of Clinical Psychology in Career Development at Pepperdine University. She has worked in higher education for the past 6 years at institutions like University of Southern California, Mount St, Mary's University, Occidental College, Los Angeles City College, and East Los Angeles College.
As a Faculty and Professional Staff member, Sandy enjoys working with students to strengthen their career goals and guide them to accomplish their personal goals. Her advice to students is: "Remember it is your story and investment in yourself."
Hani
Hani is the Brand & Digital Marketing Consultant for the Coptic Educational Foundation. Hani has over 20 years of experience in branding strategy, corporate communication and digital marketing. In his most recent role as an Area Corporate Director of Digital Marketing for the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, he led the strategy development and implementation of the region’s digital marketing communications, CRM and website performance for 41 luxury properties across Europe, Middle East & Africa. Prior to joining the Four Seasons, Hani was the head of corporate communications for Majid Al Futtaim Holding for Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Hani was also the Public & Government Affairs and Business Communications Director with The Dow Chemical Company for the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Western Europe region and was a member of the global Executive Leadership team for the function. Before joining Dow, he was the Regional Director of Marketing for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in the Middle East and Audi Middle East & Gulf Region. Hani graduated with Honors from Royal Holloway, University of London, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Katherine
Katherine is the Educational Counselor for the Coptic Educational Foundation (CEF). Katherine double majored in Social Ecology and Psychology at University of California, Irvine (UCI) and earned her Master's in Higher Education & Organizational Change at UCLA.
Katherine has over five years of advising and mentoring high school and community college students applying to college. Katherine currently works as an undergraduate advisor and pre-graduate school advisor at University of Southern California (USC). As an undergraduate advisor she helps students make informed decisions regarding their academic and professional pursuits.
Justina
Justina is a Program Coordinator for the Coptic Educational Foundation (CEF). In her role she assists in planning and supporting programs mainly the Ambassador Program as well as other new projects and initiatives.
Justina attends the University of Southern California (USC), majoring in Health and Human Sciences and minoring in Real Estate Development with aspirations of attending dental school after her undergraduate education.
She volunteers in many institutions, especially at her church, as a biology tutor at her school, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and in underserved communities in the downtown Los Angeles area. Justina also enjoys offering guidance to high school students with regards to classes and the college application process.
Peter
Peter is a Program Coordinator for the Coptic Educational Foundation (CEF). He supports CEF efforts to reach out to Mentors and Students and he also support the CEF Counselors to implement various programs and offer numerous services.
Peter is a first-generation graduate from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). He pursued his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Clinical Movement. Peter didn't stop there! He pursued his Associates degree in Psychology, ISDS Mathematics, and Social Sciences at Fullerton College.
Peter recently has been admitted to CSUF's graduate program in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Experimental Psychology planning to pursue his PhD in the upcoming years to be a faculty member at a 4-year university. Peter is passionate about serving his church, teaching, fitness and education!
